Day 01 :

Arrive in Kochi - Munnar

You will be welcomed at Cochin Airport early in the morning and then head towards Munnar, a beautiful hill station about four hours away. Located 1,600 meters above sea level, Munnar is blessed with rolling hills and valleys formed by the confluence of three mountain streams: Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. Once a favorite summer retreat of the British, today it is one of Kerala’s most loved destinations.

On arrival, begin exploring Munnar’s unique attractions. Start with the Tea Museum, where you can discover the story of Munnar’s tea plantations and their journey through time. For those who admire nature’s colors, the Floriculture Centre (Rose Garden) is a delightful stop with its wide variety of flowers and herbal plants.

Next, visit the Eravikulam National Park, home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr and a rich variety of plants. The sprawling greenery and wildlife make it an unmissable experience. Later, enjoy the serene beauty of Mattupetty Dam and Lake, surrounded by thick forests and rolling hills. Boating and other activities are also available here for those who wish to try.

Continue to Kundala Lake, a peaceful and picture-perfect spot that feels like a postcard come alive. Don’t miss the charm of Photo Point and the fun at Echo Point, where your voice bounces back from the hills.

After a day filled with scenic beauty and refreshing experiences, settle in for an overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 02 :

Munnar - Kumarakom

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar and begin your drive towards Kumarakom. The journey itself is a scenic delight as you leave behind the rolling tea plantations and misty hills of Munnar, and descend towards the lush plains dotted with coconut palms and winding canals.

On reaching Kumarakom, check in at your hotel or resort and take some time to relax. By afternoon, get ready for an unforgettable experience on Kerala’s famous backwaters. Step aboard a boat and gently cruise along the vast stretches of Vembanad Lake. As the boat drifts past palm-fringed villages and paddy fields, you’ll witness the charm of local life along the waterways.

During the boating, you will also pass by the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a paradise for bird lovers, and the small but beautiful Pathiramanal Island, known for its greenery and flocks of migratory birds. As the day winds down, enjoy the golden glow of the sunset reflecting on the lake – a sight you will remember for years to come.

After the cruise, return to your resort for an overnight stay in Kumarakom, surrounded by the calm and soothing backwaters.

Day 03 :

Kumarakom – Alleppey

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your Kumarakom resort before setting out on a short drive to Alleppey, famously called the “Venice of the East.” On arrival, check in to your traditional houseboat, a beautifully crafted wooden vessel that offers a unique way to explore Kerala’s backwaters.

As the houseboat sets sail, glide along winding canals, lush paddy fields, and villages where life moves at a gentle pace. Admire coconut palms lining the waterways and fishermen at work. Spend the afternoon exploring the highlights of Cochin. Visit the Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town, a historic place surrounded by shops selling unique antiques. See the St. Francis Church, where the explorer Vasco da Gama was first buried, and admire the beautiful Dutch Palace with its traditional Kerala architecture. Stop by the Santa Cruz Basilica and capture the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets at Vasco da Gama Square.

Wrap up the day with a stroll along Marine Drive, enjoying city lights and the scenic waterfront. For shopaholics, a visit to Lulu Mall is a must. In the evening, proceed to Cochin Airport for your onward journey.
